The Hiker

Tylar has a deep connection to nature.  She grew up looking at her grandfather’s black and white photographs of Yosemite and the coastal San Francisco Bay area.  What she most likes about hiking is the quiet surroundings, trail vantage points, changing seasons, and flowering native plants.  

Tylar is a photographer with an emphasis in nature photography.  She hikes very frequently on local trails from Malibu to Santa Barbara to Ojai with an occasional backing trip.

Tylar’s favorite gear is the NeoLoft from Thermarest.  It’s a sleeping pad with an R-value of 4.5 so it is 4-seasons.  When collapsed down for backpacking it is the size of a nalgene bottle.
